HOF’s is owned and managed by the Hof family who have been producing some of the finest handcrafted South African wines in Robertson since 2009.
Our Story
Where It All Began…

HOF’s Bar & Dining, the unique addition to Henley’s thriving food and drink scene, opened its doors on the 13th of April 2019 on the site of the former Station House pub on Market Place.
We have been supplying our own HOF’S wine selection to restaurants since 2009, but the Henley site is our first retail outlet and restaurant. We aim to offer customers a unique selection of wines from smaller vineyards around the world, coupled with advice and education. Accompanied with a selction of delicious South African – German dishes all prepared a la minute.
HOF’s sells over 50 wines, served by the glass or by the bottle, chosen by our experienced staff. We are also offering bespoke wine tastings where an in-house wine expert is on hand at the venue’s Wine Hub, to guide you on your wine journey.
As well as wines, we are selling Brakspear cask ales and a full range of draught products. There is also a good selection of bottled beers as well as a selected list of expertly-served cocktails.
The food focus is on meat and fish dishes from South Africa and Germany with a HOF’s farm shop offering traditional South African foods such as biltong that is handmade on site, ready-made meals and deli style foods.
As Christopher Hof explains: “HOF’s is all about bringing the vineyard to the customer, helping them to further their wine appreciation. We have all the well-known wine styles, as well as some more unusual ones not widely available in the UK, so we have something for wine novices and connoisseurs alike.”

“Sunday Roast Extravaganza”
“This was my second visit to HOF’S for Sunday lunch, we requested a sharing chicken and wow!
The food arrived in good time, and was presented magnificently, the veggies piled high and perfectly prepared. The usual roasties with parsnip, carrot, courgette, the list goes on.
The chicken was juicy and golden, cooked with lemon and thyme. The gravy was divine. (Big shout out for the slow cooked Jacobs Ladder beef, I had that the previous visit, it melts in the mouth)

“After reading recommendations through Facebook groups me and my partner decided to give HOF’s a try last weekend. We turned up after they stopped serving food but they kindly still allowed us to order which we were extremely grateful for. When the roast arrived we couldn’t believe what we were seeing ! The pork knuckle was the best we have had by far in Henley it was delicious! The spread was extremely generous we couldn’t finish it all ! We are always trying somewhere new but this will now be our regular, we have already booked again for next weekend to bring our family to try !.“
